Fleeting as a Dream

As the last leaves fall and the trees settle themselves more deeply into the earth, so too our own bodies seem to grow heavier, as though we are also meant to curl up, curl in, and sleep awhile.



Oh, to sleep awhile!

Faye is a truly terrible sleeper. And I am a truly tired Mumma.

Of course, we all know that these days are fleeting as a dream. She won’t always wake a dozen times or cry to be held while I’m making dinner or steal the elves while I’m trying to take a picture…

Soon, all these days will be but a memory and I, as every mother before me, will lament they went too fast.


Today, I am making mother and daughter sunshine elves for an order and lots of snowy little winter elves who are in various stages of completion.
