Do you think things will ever go back to normal?
Is normal even what we want, really?
We have to think about it, I suppose, because some day soon we will all have to go back outside and figure out what comes next.
New Zealand will most likely drop to lockdown level 2 in a few days, everybody open for business with social distancing rules in place.
It is a relief for some, a worry for others. And nobody really knows how things will turn out.
We might be one of the most fortunate countries or one of the least, depending on such things as herd immunity and locking the borders and the economy and vaccines. I think we did the right thing, but that isn’t really the point of this post because I can’t possibly know and there are members of my own family who strongly disagree.
Time will tell all. We will adjust and evolve.
Butterflies mean change and joy and hope. I’m sitting right in that space tonight, watching the full moon rise and guarding over my sleeping babes, wondering what their future’s might possibly hold and knowing that what will be, will be.
