Petals and Sweet Baby Smiles

We have been drying flowers all summer with no real idea what we would do with them. I had little bowls with random petals in them dotted all around the old house.

Moving meant they were all dumped into a jar to be dealt with another time (which turned out to be today).

The glorious bursts of orange against the pinks is so pleasing to look at, while the scent of the dried roses just curled like incense smoke from the jar when I opened it.

So from jar to glass bowl went the whole lot and they now have a special spot on the fireplace as homemade pot pourri.

And, entirely unrelated, I just snapped my ever-unkempt darling in her top and bloomers and the sweetest little smile, so I shared that too.

Have a perfect weekend x
